Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Scholarar! By accessing or using our app and website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must stop using our services immediately. Scholarar reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time, and continued use of our services means you accept any changes.

1. User Eligibility and Account Registration

To use Scholarar, you must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may need parental consent. When signing up, you must provide accurate and truthful information, ensuring all details are correct and up to date. Any misrepresentation of identity, age, or other personal details may result in account suspension or termination. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, and Scholarar is not responsible for unauthorized access due to lost, stolen, or shared passwords.

2. Services Provided

Scholarar helps users find scholarships, access application guidance, and manage their applications. The platform offers both free and premium services, providing users with personalized scholarship recommendations. However, Scholarar does not guarantee that users will receive a scholarship and is not responsible for application approvals or denials.

Note: We are not the scholarship provider. We act as a bridge, connecting students to scholarship opportunities offered by external institutions and organizations. Students can also apply directly with the scholarship provider. All application reviews, approvals, and decisions are made solely by the provider, and Scholarar does not guarantee that any application will be approved or that a scholarship will be awarded.

The scholarship provider alone determines application eligibility, selection criteria, and final decisions. Scholarar makes no guarantees regarding the success of any application and is not liable for rejections, delays, or changes made by the scholarship provider

3. Payment and Subscription

3.1. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

  • Subscription Plans: You can choose from different subscription plans, which will be clearly listed at the time of purchase. The available subscription options may include monthly and annual plans, each with its respective pricing.
  • Auto-Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you disable auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time by going to your App Store account settings. After cancellation, you will continue to have access to premium features until the end of the current billing cycle, but your subscription will not renew after that.
  • Billing and Payments: Payments for premium services are processed through third-party providers (such as Google Play or Apple App Store). All payments are non-refundable once processed, and any cancellation must be made before the next renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
  • Subscription Management: You can manage your subscription, including upgrading, downgrading, or canceling it, directly from the App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform.

3.2. Pro Package (One-Time Purchase)

In addition to subscription-based services, Scholarar offers a Pro Package with a one-time purchase option. This package provides additional scholarship support services for users who want more comprehensive guidance, and it is processed directly by Scholarar’s internal team.

  • One-Time Purchase: The Pro Package is a one-time purchase, with no recurring billing.
  • Included Services: The Pro Package may include premium access for a limited period together with services such as Full Scholarship Strategy, Essay Review, Interview Preparation, and Application Guidance.
  • Internal Processing: Payments for the Pro Package are handled by Scholarar’s internal team and are separate from the usual auto-renewable subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play Store.

3.3. Free Trial Terms

Scholarar may offer a free trial period for first-time users to access premium features. By starting a free trial, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • The free trial lasts for the duration displayed at the time of activation (for example, 7 days), beginning from the time the trial is activated.
  • Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the free trial will automatically convert into the applicable paid subscription plan selected or presented at the time of activation, and the corresponding fee will be charged through your App Store or Google Play account.
  • Subscription plans may include Monthly and Yearly options, with pricing clearly displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Google Play and the Apple App Store may send notifications before your free trial period ends. Scholarar may also send reminder notifications before the trial ends.
  • You may cancel your trial at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings before the end of the trial period.
  • If you cancel during the trial, you will continue to have access to premium features until the trial period concludes.
  • Only one trial is permitted per user unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Scholarar reserves the right to modify, cancel, or limit free trials at any time, subject to applicable law and platform rules.

3.7. B2B Portal Access & Use Terms

3.7.1. Organization Accounts

Scholarar may provide portal access to universities, agencies, institutions, and other partner organizations for scholarship posting, applicant management, communication, analytics, team collaboration, billing, and related administrative services. Organization accounts may be created and used only by authorized representatives of the relevant organization. Each organization is responsible for ensuring that its registration, billing, and administrative information is accurate, complete, and kept up to date.

3.7.2. Authorized Users and Team Access

An organization may authorize team members to access the portal under its account. The organization is responsible for managing its authorized users, maintaining the confidentiality of access credentials, assigning appropriate permissions, and ensuring that all activity carried out through the organization account complies with these Terms. The organization remains fully responsible for the acts and omissions of all users accessing the portal under its account.

3.7.3. Scholarship Posting and Portal Use

Partner organizations may use the portal to import, create, manage, update, or request removal of scholarship opportunities and related content. Scholarships submitted through the portal will first be placed in Pending status and will not appear in the Scholarar app until reviewed and approved by Scholarar’s internal team. Once approved and updated to Published status, the scholarship may be made visible in the Scholarar app or related services.

Partner organizations are responsible for ensuring that all submitted scholarship information is accurate, lawful, current, complete, and not misleading. Where available, partner organizations may also track scholarship performance and applicant activity through the portal.

3.7.4. Applicant Management and ATS Use

When enabled by the portal, partner organizations may view applicant and application information associated with their scholarships, including status tracking and stage-based workflow views such as Overview, Exam, Interview, Offer Letter, and Success. Scholarar may also provide related ATS functions such as filters, search, dashboard summaries, recent applications, and scholarship performance insights. All such use remains subject to these Terms and applicable privacy and data protection obligations.

3.7.5. Data Responsibility

Each organization is responsible for ensuring that it has the necessary rights, permissions, notices, consents, and lawful basis to collect, upload, access, review, use, disclose, or otherwise process applicant, scholarship, and related data through the portal. Scholarar provides the portal as a platform service and does not assume responsibility for the underlying lawfulness, accuracy, completeness, or integrity of data supplied by partner organizations.

3.7.6. Acceptable Use Restrictions

Organizations and their authorized users must not:

  • use portal data for unlawful, discriminatory, abusive, misleading, or unauthorized purposes;
